American Rescue Plan

Programs and services for children have never received a down payment of the magnitude seen in the American Rescue Plan. The package includes more than $160 billion designated for education and child care as well as an additional $350 billion that states and localities can flexibly spend on children. The flexibility of these funds gives local leaders and advocates an opportunity to think boldly and creatively about child- and youth-focused services as well as the chance to create sustained and robust investments in our kids going forward. We developed this collection of tools and resources to help policymakers, service providers, and advocates use this historic level of federal aid to kick-start meaningful change for children and youth.
